RPS is looking for an Associate Director to support the growth of our London Planning Team. From residential development to region-shaping infrastructure, we bring precision and creativity to the development approvals process. Your role

This is a key position where you will help provide leadership, be the day to day project lead and the ‘go to’ person for both the client and your business unit leaders and team. You’ll get to work with a wide range of clients on diverse schemes that affect all types of built development managing all aspects of a job. Developing strong working relationship with other members of the project/design team and with existing as well as new clients. You’ll be joining a well-established and collaborative team who are committed to provide outstanding advice and outcomes for our clients.

Your skills/experience

You’ll have a relevant degree (or equivalent) and be MRTPI qualified. You’ll be an expert in your market, a highly experienced and competent practitioner with strong leadership qualities. Experience of leading residential planning applications is essential.

You’ll be used to a client-facing role and have an established market reputation and work-winning ability. Good financial and project management skills are a must, as are great influencing and communication skills. Being able to build, maintain and consolidate strong working relationships with colleagues, clients and external bodies is expected. You’ll have experience of mentoring/coaching skills and be creative and strategic in your approach.
