Overview


RPS Water Operations is looking to appoint a Project Manager to oversee a team of Drainage CCTV and Asset Inspection survey crews based at our Irlam office.


The role

This is a senior level position and will deliver and build upon our existing frameworks and relationships with key clients including Yorkshire Water, United Utilities and Anglian Water. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will work closely with the client Area Delivery Manager. This role has area responsibility for delivering health, safety and wellbeing without compromise an operational performance excellence, by ensuring absolute delivery of KPI’s and driving efficient work practices. This role will oversee up to 30 staff at differing levels, the majority of which are field based. The Project Manger role requires someone who will take responsibility for driving performance and delivering service excellence through innovation and continuous improvement for multiple utility and private clients. Our current workstreams include CCTV surveying, flow monitoring and wastewater asset management.


Your skills and experience

You will be someone with extensive experience gained in the utility service industry or similar and will have the ability to deliver results in an often unpredictable operational environment, managing and motivating high performing teams. You will have proven experience managing performance and possess the ability to analyse data to identify continuous improvements and implement change. You will possess outstanding communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels, influence others and effectively contribute to contract and business development strategy. You will also demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Experience of working in a Utilities or Operational Environment

  • A relevant degree or vocational experience in Leadership and Management

  • Strong working knowledge of WinCan, CCTV inspection of sewer networks and associated reporting

  • Ability to effectively plan and manage operational resources and equipment

  • Demonstrable evidence of post qualification experience and competence

  • Desire to progress towards professional membership e.g. CIWEM; APM; CMI is highly desirable

  • IT literate with strong working knowledge of MS office suite, work management systems and applications, with a good understanding of Excel

  • IOSH managing safely (or equivalent)

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Experience of flow monitoring and waste-water asset management would be highly desirable

Please note mandatory drug and alcohol testing is a requirement for this role.
