An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a new role with London Fire Brigade’s (LFB) Property Group to act as the FM Officer, supporting the commercial relationship for key suppliers to ensure the contract requirements are met and the fire stations are adequately maintained to support operational response.

The Property Group are currently looking for experienced FM Officers to join our successful team based at LFB’s Union Street HQ but travel across the estate will be regularly required. This role will report to the FM Manager and support the successful delivery across all aspects of hard and soft services including project management of minor maintenance and refurbishment works, covering statutory compliance, management of suppliers, liaison with the on-site team and financial management of the budget.

The preferred candidate will have a relevant FM and health & safety qualification and experience of delivering FM services across a property portfolio. The successful candidate will need to have a full and detailed understanding of FM contracts in place and ensure the responsibilities of both the LFB and the contractors are monitored and managed effectively and reflect the LFB’s policies and procedures as required. The role will act as a key liaison point for the LFB and building users providing information, analysis and recommendations as required. Effective team engagement and strong leadership skills are essential along with the ability to build effective relationships with senior management/ stakeholders.

Qualifications
• Degree or qualifications at further education level preferable.
• Membership of an FM related professional body i.e. RICS/BIFM, CIBSE, IEE
• A Health & Safety qualification (IOSH minimum or preferably NEBOSH)
