HomeSnag is a market leading new-build snagging company. We inspect houses pre-completion and post completion for customers and developers throughout the UK.

To meet current demand we are looking for a surveyor to operate throughout the North East.

The job does not involve going to an office; rather setting out to the appointments every day from home.

About the role:
The role is varied as every day presents a different property for inspection. We have a great reputation based on our thorough range of checks carried out in the aim of getting a property to as good a standard as possible. These checks include everything from construction shortfalls externally to paintwork and plumbing issues internally.

On average an inspection will take between 3-5 hours and then there is time spent at home compiling the findings and sending off the report.

The package on offer is a basic salary of 13k + a payment per inspection as there is the possibility to conduct 2 inspections in a day. There is the expectation to work the occasional Saturday with a day in lieu. More details on the package we offer will be discussed in the interview process.

About you:

We are specifically looking for someone who is already RICS accredited or who holds a RICs accredited qualification (BSc/MSc/SAVA level 6 in Building surveying). Therefore please only apply if you meet this criteria or else your application will not be successful.

The role requires a keen eye for detail and a hard working attitude. Knowledge of building regulations and NHBC tolerances is advantageous as well as having experience using an app to raise issues (rather than a written list)... although full training will be provided to the right candidate.
