We are recruiting a role for highly motivated personnel to join a dynamic coastal process team within the water/environment section in RPS Belfast, working on a range of modelling, engineering and environmental projects across Ireland and the UK.

What you’ll be doing:
Developing and supporting coastal modelling tasks and projects
Assisting with coastal related Environmental Impact Assessments
Pre and post processing of numerical and/or spatial data including survey information and modelling result
Analysis of data and preparation of technical reports.
Working effectively as part of a team and with other professionals (environmental, scientists and engineers).
Who we’re looking for:
Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject area (civil engineering, marine science, oceanography or environmental science).
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Desire to learn numerical modelling skills & develop knowledge of coastal processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable criteria:
Demonstrated experience in numerical modelling of coastal processes such as tides, waves and/or sediment transport.
Relevant professional qualifications (chartered or near chartered professional)
Knowledge of Coastal Flooding or Erosion Risk Management
Understanding of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs).
Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) modelling experience.
Experience in writing and delivering papers, reports and presentations.
Experience using AutoCAD.
Experience using ArcGIS .
Experience of coding in Matlab or Python
